In
May 2006, CCR received an award at the Michigan Recycling
Coalition's Annual Conference for "2006 Recycler of the Year"
in the Outstanding Private Recycling Program Category.
In November 2005, CCR was given honorable mention in the “Close the Loop” Award Program organized by “America Recycles Day” Team in Michigan.
CCR, Inc. won the award for Outstanding Electronics Recycling from the Illinois EPA at the Illinois Recycling Association Conference in June of 2004 for their America Recycles Day collection event in downtown Chicago that was done in November 2003.
Additionally, CCR, is the first ever Private Sector Recycler in Michigan and Illinois to start to pilot PERMANENT DROP OFF PROGRAMS (PDO) in conjunction with Solid Waste Agencies, Recycling Authorities, Health Departments and Municipalities to collect residential and small business e-waste. CCR piloted the PDO programs for the first time in 2006 in both Michigan and Illinois. In 2006, we collected, processed and recycled from all our PDO locations a total of 1,029,942 lbs which is equivalent to 515 tons of e-scrap
